Knowledge:
· Degree / diploma in a relevant Air Traffic Control or Air Traffic Engineering field from an accredited college.
· Recognized qualification in Aviation Safety Management or relevant alternative.
· Extensive knowledge of dans SMM, Departmental Manuals, International/ICAO and GCAA civil aviation rules and regulations.
· Extensive knowledge of the Air Traffic Control and/or Air Traffic Engineering field.
· Safety Assessment/Case development.
· Knowledge and understanding of relevant ATS workplace systems.
· Hazard/Risk analysis (e.g., HAZID/HAZOP) and hazard/risk control methodology.
· Knowledge of GCAA and ICAO regulations, safety management systems and procedures.
· Good working knowledge of GCAA E-Services.
· Knowledge in Basic and Advanced Safety Management Systems.
· Auditing requirements.
· Human Factor issues.
Experience:
· Should have had validated ATC ratings in both Aerodrome and Approach Radar control with a minimum of 10 years’ operational experience.
· A minimum of 10 years ATES operational experience at a major international airport could also be considered appropriate.
· Previous experience and skills in the development of Aviation Safety assessments/cases and in the application of an Aviation SMS, i.e., safety analysis & risk assessment.
· Previous experience dealing with regulatory authorities on a regular basis.
· Previous experience in leading diverse teams within an ANSP.
· Classroom Instructional Techniques (CIT).
· Experience in Project Management.
· Experience of risk assessment tools (BowTie etc.).
